False advertising made worse by abysmal problem-solving.
I can't believe how awful our experience with this company was because the reviews I read were all so positive. The company promised door-to-door service as well as a relatively fast customs-clearing process and these two things absolutely did not happen. It took nearly three months to get our things because the proforma documents the company provided were not correct for the country I was delivering to. I believe this company should not say they deliver to this country if this problem exists OR they should provide the correct documents. Furthermore, when I asked for the company to reconcile the problem, they essentially told me that there was nothing they could do, but to please refer a friend for their move! My second complaint is that they said door-to-door service, but the items were not delivered to my address, they were dropped off at a depot. This company says this is standard protocol for my area which is not true. So, in addition to the cost of this moving company, I also had to pay extra for customs storage while we completed new documents AND I had to pay to rent a vehicle to pick up and bring my items to my house from the depot where this moving company had my things delivered. It has been beyond frustrating. If this company would have just owned up to their error I would not have a problem because I understand that every country's customs process is different but do not advertise you can do what you clearly cannot do (eg. "We see now that we are not prepared to offer moving services to this country; we'll be changing our protocols in the future. Please allow us to reimburse the added cost where we fell short [delivery to the door and extra storage in customs]."). I would absolutely NOT recommend this company for any Central American country delivery.
