We have moved to the Netherlands for a short period of time and when moving back we chose this company as they promised fast air delivery times and smooth experience. Not only they delivered the items almost 1 month later than they promised they also claimed the total volume of goods to be shipped was almost double of what we moved to the NL with. They sent a picture of 2 palets wrapped in black plastic wrap with no way of veryfying the information and pretty much hold your goods hostage until you double the payment. Upon receiving the items in the US we calculated the volume of each box and total delivery volume and it was half of what they claimed. Worth noting many boxes that were delivered were completely empty and were there just for the volume. Its a total scam. Stay away from this company regardless of what they promise you. We will be taking legal action as well as filing complaint with all relevant domestic and international authorities.

My experience with Schmidt Global Relocations was an absolute disaster. I trusted them to ship my furniture from the Netherlands to the US after they presented themselves as a professional and experienced company. Unfortunately, after pickup, everything went wrong.

Unexpected extra fees were added with little to no explanation.

Communication was extremely poor throughout the process.

My shipment was split into two deliveries: the first arrived 3 months late, the second 4 months late.

Many of my belongings arrived damaged or broken, including an electric bike I paid extra to ship with care.

Upon arrival, I was blackmailed into paying $350 in cash — the driver threatened to drive off and dump my belongings elsewhere if I refused.

To make matters worse, when I raised my complaints with Schmidt Global Relocations, they were not taken seriously and I was left without any real support or compensation.

This company caused me stress, financial loss, and serious damage to my belongings. I strongly recommend avoiding Schmidt Global Relocations at all costs.

Waardeloos bedrijf. Verhuizing naar Portugal geregeld. Eerst contact was prima, daar een regen van leugens. een vrachtauto's beschikbaar ivm sinaasappeloogst in Spanje, dan was de container weer van het schip gehaald en dan weer opstopping in de haven. Totaal duurde het 60!!!! dagen tot mijn inboedel in Portugal arriveerde.
Ga nooit in zee met dit bedrijf!

Do not use this company - smooth talking to gain your business, you send them list of proposed contents to be moved. They did not send anyone to check. Only booked us for one afternoon/one truck/2 youngsters (24 & 18). Ended up 3 days and 2 trucks. We didn't even move all the items on the list, no beds, no wardrobes/no sofas!
Collection mid October, delivery scheduled for 15th November; ended up on 19th December, more than a month later. They offered to deliver sooner but not the whole container - they would keep the remaining items.
The amount of breakages, and poor packing was amazing.

This company changed the agreed schedule last minute without offering any alternative, showing no regard for my constraints or time. Not a single effort was made to accommodate the situation, nor was there any commercial gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience. Just plain indifference.

If you’re looking for professionalism or basic respect — look elsewhere. Never again.

My shipment was mean to come in 10-12 weeks it’s now over 20 weeks and still waiting

Avoid Schmidt Global Relocations. They threatened to hold our shipment, and still did not provide an explanation to the additional costs that they charged. They are not honest and have violated my rights as a consumer. If you also have had issues with Schmidt, I recommend that you report the company at https://www.consuwijzer.nl/.

Worst moving company ever, and as a diplomat I have had multiple moves so I can say this with experience.
First of all the movers did not come on the day/time what was agreed. We had taken off work and they would be at our house in the morning to pack all things. However after a few hours still no moving company so we called, "yes thanks for calling they are a bit delayed" was the response. Eventually they arrived at 6pm which was a 9hour! delay and then they started packing etc., and did not finish until 1am the following morning. Also as they were only 2 guys they had picked 2 random guys from the street it seemed (on slippers no kidding) and that were supposed to help them and speed up the packing. They arrived a bit earlier than the official movers and truck, but had no packing or moving material whatsoever, so asked us for wrapping and boxes which we obviously did not have because we through we had hired a professional moving company….
Then after all of this there was silence and no communication when our household good would arrive in our new place. Because this was an international move my car was on the papers but I drove it myself, as was agreed beforehand. However one day I get a call from them if I could turn up at this random custom office, while I was in the middle of my holiday and nowhere close. I was furious. In the end this was sorted by them but when we finally got our stuff we discovered a lot of damages worth almost 3000 USD. Damage can always happen but in this case it was obvious it had to do with the pick-up and the 2 random street guys that helped them. My most valuable painting got damaged because it was laying at the bottom of a box without any protection or wrapping whatsoever. On top of it they had placed various radom items and of course did this not go well ;-(
Needles to say but I would absolutely NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!

The service I received from Schmidt was extremely rude, lazy and unprofessional. I was assigned Annisa Anjarsari, who was extremely difficult to contact. She repeatedly ignored my emails and was generally uncommunicative. I had advised the company on my move-in date 6 months prior to the date. Then I confirmed the date several weeks prior as well. Imagine my surprise when the move-in date came and went with no communication from Schmidt. They eventually told me my shipment was still in the Netherlands! I had moved to Portugal from the US. I didn't even know my shipment would ever be in the Netherlands. It took an extra 6 weeks to deliver my belongings; I had to sleep on the floor and live out of my suitcase. The furniture arrived damaged and multiple boxes were missing. I would never recommend this company!!

Verhuizing van US naar NL. Simpel, ongeveer 10 m3. Simpele huisraad en wat meubels.
Schmidt doet er 3 weken langer over dan beloofd om de datum vast te leggen. Die wordt telefonisch afgesproken: 1 augustus (EEN). Ik vraag een paar dagen later om bevestigingsmail omdat die er niet was. Daarin staat TWEE augustus. Schmidt dreigt met cancellation fees als ik 2 augustus niet kan halen. Dus extra vrij moeten nemen etc.

Vervolgens, u raad het, krijg ik EEN augustus telefoon dat ze voor de deur staan. De dag die oorspronkelijk dus was vastgelegd, maar vervolgens werd ontkend door Schmidt planning.

Halsoverkop naar nieuwe huis en de verhuiscrew was ook niet blij want die hadden dubbel werk. Zij konden er niks aan doen. Het was het planning team (Agustina, nieuwe medewerkster), die de chaos hebben veroorzaakt.

Vervolgens kleine schade bij installeren.

Er is bewijs van de verkeerde planning van Schmidt en de schade. Maar Schmidt verwijst simpelweg naar 'de andere partij'.

Als je een keuze hebt, zorg dat je niet met Schmidt werkt en als je Agustina aan de telefoon krijgt, meteen om iemand anders vragen.
Laat de onervarenheid van Schmidt planning niet uw verhuizing bederven!

Delivery weeks after the promised date, lots of undisclosed fees that were tacked on without being disclosed, charges for a delivery they blotched. Was more like a hostage negotiation than a business arrangement dealing with them. They should take up making wooden shoes, or whatever Dutch are good at, because these guys suck as movers.

Zeer slechte ervaring!! Extra betaald voor een eigen container zodat onze inboedel er sneller zou zijn (op hun website staat 8 weken, dit is uiteindelijk het dubbele geworden!).
Communicatie is zeer slecht! Alleen contact via mail mogelijk, wat natuurlijk gewoon triest is anno 2023. Denken niet met je mee en je moet overal zelf achteraan.
Ik kan zo nog wel even doorgaan, maar al met al kies zeker niet voor Schmidt!!!

We used them for a move from Germany to Australia. We had the worst experience and cannot recommend them at all because:

Our shipment has been repeatedly delayed and after almost 6 MONTHS we still don’t have our goods. They have also not provided a date range for the arrival of our goods - whether they will EVER arrive is doubtful.

To add insult to injury, they are now asking us to pay HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS extra for the delays caused by them and by the authorities - none of which are our fault! Despite our repeated complaints they have refused to provide any kind of compensation for the delays. On the contrary, they are charging us extra.

A fabulously seamless experience !

Our movers arrived in time and finished the job in one day . The movers were very calm S they worked which was great for me as I was quite nervous about the packing process . All four of the workers spoke great English and were kind and courteous.
Our goods arrived earlier than expected in the USA which was wonderful news to us . We requested delivery on December 3 and that is the day our goods were delivered . The workers who unpacked our things were also friendly and very easy to work with.
I would recommend Schmidt global to anyone making a move .

Delivery timeframe misleading

We were very pleased with this company until our delivery time turned from 8weeks from pick up into 16weeks, well after our belongings were packed and collected by the company. Barely received an apology. This move was from Netherlands to Australia scheduled in dec 2020. We were told this was due to covid. However, when timeframe was given we were well into the pandemic and were assured there were no issues. This was very misleading and had we known we would have reconsidered. We are now in a position where we will need to repurchase many items we had shipped as we cannot wait that long for the arrival. *cannot answer no.3 as container yet to arrive

We moved from Australia to France.

Schmidt Global Re-locations were brilliant, and I would recommend this company to anyone who is relocating from one country to another. The first point I would make is that we were kept regularly informed with progress reports including when the ship docked in Rotterdam; the progress of our goods through the different stages including offloading and customs; regular information and updates on when our things would be delivered to a very remote part of France where the roads are narrow and often challenging. On the day our things were delivered we were given plenty of notice and the two young men who unpacked our things were friendly, polite, efficient, very professional and competent and treated our things as if they were wearing kid gloves. Our thanks go to them and to Schmidt Global Re-locations for a job well done. It is always traumatic undertaking an intercontinental move, but the stress was made very much worse by the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic. We will always be grateful to this company.

Final portion from Rotterdam to Boxmeer

The job was just the last leg of an international move from Florida to Netherlands. Schmidt was tasked through an USA company, so it was not in my control to select them.

The organization and communication was really good. Compliments to Shanine!

The unpacking started on time and went fast. One mover was less concerned and involved than the rest of the team, explaining the 1 star drop on quality.

Plenty of damages

We hired Schmidt Global Relocation for our relocation from The Netherlands to Switzerland. The movers came right on time in our house, even a little earlier than expected. All the packing and luggage uploading was well organized and executed in no time. But the damages on our house were unbearable, whit plenty of scratches on the walls, wooden part of the stairs and the floor, including one broken glass chandeliers. All these damages were caused by the movers due to their neglectful caring of furniture and big items. If you are considering an international mover, Schmidt Global Relocations is definitely not the right one.

Packing from Hamburg Germany to Delaware was a success

I have not yet received my property, but the packing process was great. I hope and feel confident that the delivered shipment will be executed as professionally and friendly as the pickup.

So far, I am more that impressed

We are only half way through the move. Everything has been packed and taken away. So far I am very impressed. Everyone has been very helpful. They answer questions right away and help to make things easier and less stressful. The movers were very friendly and professional. They did a great packing job and I feel everything will have no problems. They were able to get more items than I expected. They worked very hard and stayed late to make sure I was taken care of. I would highly recommend them.

Moved from Zurich to Amsterdam

I had a great experience with Schmidt. Had an issue with moving my couch because it was too big for the hallway, Schmidt helped me to resolve the issue and put my couch in storage for a few days for free.

Smooth and swift

The first part of the moving in Switserland was ok. The delivery in The Netherlands was not so good. The personal was not very motivated and we had to waite a very long time for the elevator to arrive with we ordered to bring the goods to the second floor. They also refused to put some furneture together witch were taken apart in Switserland so we had to do is ourselfes.

Very uncomplicated process in the beginning; i was able to ask all my questions and received a personal answer within a few hours/days. The movers who picked up my boxes were incredibly friendly and efficient and also the ones who unloaded my stuff were really nice. All my items were handled with care and arrived the way i left them.
