Palmers service in Melbourne was excellent and we moved our household to the UK with the loss of only one glass! However, we were disappointed to discover that all the portarobes held our two and three dimensional art works and all our clothes were actually piled on top of each other in standard cardboard boxes ... what a lot of laundry to remove all the creases after they had traversed from the southern hemisphere to the northern one. Otherwise, we would not hesitate to use Palmers as the point of origin movers.
That said, we would not use them again if the receiving agency in the UK was to be PSS (supposedly the UK's 'top family run moving company'??). We paid an additional cost to ensure we were the sole occupants of our container to ensure a more speedy delivery. Communication from PSS staff was virtually non existent. They never explained why our shipment wasn't unloaded when the ship first arrived in the UK but was off loaded later in Rotterdam. We received five delivery dates from PSS before the container arrived at our home. We usually discovered it wasn't turning up on the day it was supposedly due (and on two occasions found it was still in Rotterdam - again, no explanation). The day it did arrive (after we paid additional delivery costs as they had to engage another transport company given they had no drivers available) it was due at 9am. The staff arrived at 9.30am to unpack but the container didn't arrive until 3.30pm. By the time the container was unloaded it was too late for the boxes to be unpacked and the staff left us with this task as well as with the removal of the packing materials. The unpacking/material removal was a service we had already paid for. Oh, and what time did PSS return our calls on the day the container finally arrived? About 1.30pm and only to say it was on the road. It remains a mystery to us why the delay, and the subsequent huge inconvenience to us, occurred? Phone complaints to Palmers about our experience elicited statement such "fair comment", but they would not reimburse us for any of these issues.
In summary, we would never use Palmers again if their receiving agent here in the UK was to be PSS!

A huge thank to the agent who managed the admin part of the shipment of our goods. the workers upon arrival were very well mannered and polite with us. three professional men, well organised and generally very patient. They delivered impeccable standards of work ethic- fast, efficient and friendly. I am glad I have chosen Palmer's intentional removalists.

Great ,clear & accurate information from Palmers, once goods arrived in Rotterdam company there kept us informed every step of the way. Boxes delivered in Italy up stairs no lift, meanwhile we are still waiting to leave Australia due to Covid 19!!!

Very easy to do business with. Josh gave an instant Quixote. when our decision was made, we were anxious for a pick up plus thought we had more then quoted. Not only was that ok and the new quote available the next morning, they were also able to walk us through the paperwork and arrange onFriday for a Monday pick up and Tuesday was a holiday. live in a 4 th floor walk and never heard a moan or a groan from the packers. THe packers were happy guys and treated our possessions like they were gold and yet so quick to pack it up. We then got feed pack on Wednesday about the size of our items. All that is left is to see how they arrive.

My belongings were picked up in early April in Australia and I am still waiting for them to arrive. I was contacted last week to say that they were due to arrive in London soon, so until I eventually receive my belongings it is difficult to give a correct rating

My biggest regret was using Palmers. I trusted them and they let me down big time. They think they are beyond reproach. From the packers to the sales people to the office staff to the General Manager....they will all let you down. They have no remorse, they have no empathy, they care nothing for their customers. But what they do have is some of my belongings, that is unless they have sold them already. They probably have very good Christmas parties....oh and don't be fooled by anything the office staff say on the phone encouraging you to use them. They are not your friend, they are not on your side, they will conveniently forget any conversation you have to your absolute detriment.....

I had a 4 day turnaround to organise an international move, Palmers were one of the first to answer my request for a quote. I chose Palmers as I was impressed with their customer service from the very first point of contact. The office staff were delightful to deal with. They provided a competitive quote, customs documentation and answered all my queries within a couple of calls which eliminated a lot of stress. The two packers arrived at the advised time, were both professional, polite, cheerful and respectful of my home and possessions. The items were well packed and every care was taken with customising packaging for the non standard and fragile items. I would highly recommend Palmers and would happily engage them again for any future relocations.
