We engaged this company to move all our personal belongings from India to France. We paid for them to pack 12 CBM out of our consignment of 25 CBM and paid for two wooden crates for delicate items. They sent a team of seven packers to our mountain home whom we housed and fed for two days. They labelled each of our cartons and wrapped everything in plastic but not one was labelled FRAGILE or HANDLE WITH CARE. No wooden crates were brought to the source and only one was delivered. As a result almost all our crockery was shattered, Art nouveau glass pane, ceramic art works, and most of the glass of photo frames and paintings. The company made us send photos and videos of the damage and fill in insurance claims only to refuse any compensation of the colossal damage because we had not insured the full consignment. They also said we had packed everything. I wonder why they had to send seven persons to the point of departure if there was no packing to be done. Do not make the mistake of entrusting things you value to this company. Everything was handled extremely roughly causing 85 articles to arrive in a state that they just have to be thrown away.

They are the worst company, I would not even turst them with my rubbish!
I moved from UK and my UK company partnered with them to handle situation in India. They have been rude, uncommunicative (just don't pick up the calls) and have never ever answered a single question from me properly in a professional manner. They charged me 11,000 rs for mysterious 'holding charges' and 'customs' (eventhough I have imported used toys and books of my child) and never gave me a reciept for it despite asking for a million times. They claimed that out of my shipment they did not recieve a box, but they did not inform me about it until after the shipment was delivered. They made their delivery guy lie to me that the box has been located and it's at chennai port so they will courier it to me. I even have a recording of the guy admitting to lieing so that I will sign the papers! They have been utterly unprofessional.

Poor packing, damaged goods, overcharging. Bad experience

Emerald quoted for 6CBM, when packing reached 2.29 CBM, they claimed 6 CBM was done and charged for 6CBM. This was dishonest. Mr Manojkumar said, shipping will be direct to Montreal via Suez/Atlantic, but sent the goods via Pacific to Vancouver. Mr Ajitkumar refused trans-shipment to Montreal and claimed $605 demurrage for TRANSIT at Vancouver. Was forced to pay. Took 3 months to ship from Vancouver to Montreal. Due to very poor packing and handling, more than 20 items (Crystalware, teak furniture) were irreplaceably damaged. Emerald showed no integrity and made false statements. Disastrous experience. Starting insurance claim with pictures of damages. If Insurance claim becomes a problem, will report that as well here.

Feel cheated. Avoid Avoid Avoid this company.

Manoj ad Ajith so unprofessional.

They'll cheat you on the quote and they will bill you more than the quote.
"Watch the exclusions." They write the exclusions in foreign language.
They will also threaten you to pay the bill at the delivery end.
I don't think they know what they are doing.
Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Horrible Experience

I hate a truly horrible experience with this company.

They gave me a quote and increased it 4 times during my move so that the end quote was more than DOUBLE what they quoted me. Some of their reasons were acceptable (taxes and customs - just wished they had informed me before hand what I could expect; increased volume in my shipment) but some were really outrageous (their UK packers arrived 4 hours after the agreed time and then had the audacity to try and charge me for overtime as they started so late - my entire pack took 2.5 hours so had they arrived in time it would have been completed on time).

In addition, they seemed woefully ignorant of regulations. I understand that COVID-19 created exigent circumstances but they were unaware that the government had waived storage charges during the lock down (although this information was easily available via media, a simple google search, or even the govt website!). I don't know whether they were ignorant or deliberately trying to secure additional funds from me, but they tried to charge me a HUGE amount of money for the storage costs that had been waived. They only relented (after we argued about it for 2 weeks) after I INFORMED THEM about the regulation and sent them a link to the govt decision.

The packing and transfer itself was adequate. Two mirrors and one glass panel broke during transit, but everything else was okay.

Only big talks and fake promises with tons of lies.

While I was planning to move my goods from India to Estonia I contacted Emerald Relocations and Mr. Manoj was the only point of contact. There were many emails exchanged and telephonic conversations. During the telephonic conversations I was told that the price the have quoted includes everything from customs, transportation etc. That is all I have to pay and I have to pay nowhere else. But then once my goods reached to Estonia I had to pay a huge amount to get my goods out from the customs. Before that I was contacted by the transportation company in Estonia who were supposed to collect my goods and deliver at my address. They gave some solutions about how I might not have to pay that extra fee or pay way lesser than asked for. So they asked me to contact Emerald Relocations as the solution was only possible from their side through paperwork. But as usual, nobody could be contacted. Not via telephone nor by email and Mr. Manoj who was my only point of contact stopped answering my calls. There was no other way to contact him and his co-workers started forwarding my emails to each other and kept asking what should they do about it. Finally there was no reply so no solution and I had to pay every dime I was asked for to get my goods. Later I wrote them another email about how horrible their service was and in return I got an email from Me. Manoj that during our telephonic conversations he explained each and everything about the payments that I have to pay later. Which was a huge lie because as I said, I was misguided and lied to about the payments and shipping container sizes. I could have put more goods in there if I was informed correctly about how much more size was still available. So customer service was horrible and not a trustworthy company at all. Definitely not customer friendly or being liable. Later when I received the goods I figured that many items were missing. And again, no one could be contacted. That’s becaI trusted them blindly all because of the nice and friendly talks from Mr. Manoj. When their company guys came to do the packing then I called and told him that they are not making a list for the goods but they are just writing on the boxes such as clothes, books, files etc. I asked that please make a proper list but again Mr. Manoj and his nice talks. Please trust us, your goods are in the right hands, we are very professional and so on. Then they somehow packed everything and there were 31-32 boxes and I had no idea about what they put where or how because everything was happening so fast plus there was no one there to reason with. So it was my fault that I trusted them and paid the price. Overall horrible experience and bunch of cheats and thieves running the company. I don’t even know if I can take any legal action against them while am sitting overseas. Or I might have to pay even more to get justice and my stolen goods back or the money I had to pay extra or the goods I could have still brought with me instead of giving them away. There were many other things that I could have mentioned but it will just go on and on so I have put as short as I could. I have no idea what would be the next step but whoever reads my review please pay attention to everything I wrote and make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else ever. Please teach them a lesson. Thank you.

Very disappointing. Manoj is an unscrupulous salesperson.

I thought I had got myself a very good shipping company, to send my shipment to Australia with. The reviews given were not
complimentary to the company, and in particular to Salesman Manoj. However, he gave me to understand that the people who had given those couple
of reviews were, very hard to deal with people who expected more than was paid for. Knowing how businesses work, I knew that
some customers can be quite unreasonable. Their quote was good and things seemed to be fine so,I gave them my business .... big mistake!!! I have
lived to regret it whole heartedly.

To anyone who wishes to use them, my advice is please don't .... they are not at all trustworthy. Manoj is unscrupulous and out to get as much of your
money as he can, even at the cost of not giving you the coverage you have paid for.

I find out now that the negative reviews were absolutely correct and that this company, and in particular the sweet-talking Manoj,
is most unethical and unreliable and does not stand behind his word. It is in fact a con business which promises and delivers, HOWEVER, if
you run into any problems during delivery, it does not honor its commitments and its word. As per what Manoj said to me when I
mentioned giving a bad review, if he did not return me the money his Company needed to to... he said we have been in business for 11 years
now despite bad reviews.

Anyway, HERE ARE THE PROBLEMS I HAVE RUN INTO WITH THEM AND I HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK AND BANK TRANSACTIONS TO PROVE IT.
1. They gave me an initial quote of approximately Rs. 90,000 for sending my stuff from Pune, India to Melbourne, Australia.
They did not send anyone to check out my stuff and then give me the quote. I was new to all this moving stuff and no one I knew had done the same,
so I had no one to guide me. I liked the way Manoj explained things to me & the price they quoted me & so I gave them the job.

2. The shipping day came & I had a lovely 5 young men who came & packed up the stuff for me. They did their job really
well & were very pleasant to have around. But, when my stuff was almost 3/4 packed, I got told that my dining table could
not be dismantled & had to be either left behind or sent as it was, which meant that the volume, & consequently, the
price would go up. THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT A PROFESSIONAL AND HONORABLE COMPANY WOULD HAVE CHECKED ON
BEFORE SENDING ME A QUOTE. but, no one ever came to check the shipment & I knew no better, hence, I had agreed to have it shipped with them. Being professionals, they should have done what was right by both of us, by sending a person to assess the cost of moving the stuff by taking a good
look at it, before quoting their initial price of approximately Rs. 90,000.

Anyway, at that moment with 3/4 of my stuff packed already, I had little choice but to okay the extra price, which I was told
would be as nominal as possible. Later, after the stuff had left and gone I got told that it was going to cost me a total of
Rs.210,000. An astronomical amount, which, had it been quoted earlier, I would not have accepted and would rather have left my
stuff than take it with me. But,the stuff had been sent and I had no other option but to pay the bill.

However, I was also told that this amount would cover all my costs, including those to be paid in Australia. So that, there
would be no more to pay. That made me feel a bit better about the payment.

3. However, when the stuff reached Melbourne, I was told that there would be a quarantine fee of $187. I explained to the
receiving company that I had already paid that amount to the shipper, but, they said the shipper was not paying it to them
so I would have to do it myself.

I spoke to Manoj, mentioned by others, in their reviews & he assured me they would pay me back the money into my account in
India, if I would pay it in Melbourne. And I had no other option but to do that, before they started charging me
storage fees.

4. When the shipment reached my home, it was found that there was a dining chair with a broken leg & a picture with the glass
shattered. I had paid top dollar to have the shipment insured fully & so I mentioned it to Manoj & he said not to worry, he
would get in touch with the insurance company & that they would reimburse me for the damage so I could get it fixed with
the insurance money. The insurance money was included in the main invoice & I paid top dollar for full coverage, however, he
did not hand me the insurance papers & probably had never paid into any insurance for me as it still has not been paid to
me and he gives me the lame excuse that it was his mistake, he did not make the claim on time. But, he is not ready to pay
to cover my loss. He has kept me hanging for over 4 months telling me that he will pay me a small amount each month till
the cost is covered, but, that too is not happening.

As for the quarantine money which he, had agreed should not be paid by me in writing in his emails and sms .... but now he tells
me that it was not covered by the astronomical payment I already made and so that this could not be paid by his company.
But, I have it in written from him that it is to be paid by his company.

I must say that I had a lot of regard for Manoj, up until then, as that the young man and I had formed a nice friendly
business relationship in the months we were negotiating & actually sending out the stuff. But, sadly, the reviews were
right Manoj is not trustworthy, not a man of his word. He is a sweet-talking conman who is most unethical and dishonest and
his word means nothing, only money in his pocket matters to him, even if it is rightfully yours.

Last month, he put Rs. 3000/- in my bank, ( a measley $60) so that I would not send the bad review, telling me that he would pay me the rest as well. Now
all of a sudden he was willing to pay back the $187 for quarantine, but not the money for insurance because that took the total
money he owes me to $550. Anyway, I held back till now giving him till 10th of March to pay up the dues, but, again there is a
no show and I know now that unless I get an Ombudsman involved in this issue, I will not get any money back from his company or
him.

I would have like to have given a good review, but as it now stands, I am hoping to bring this up with the
Shipping Ombudsman and the Ministry of Fair Trading in order for them to intervene on my behalf and get me my compensation from this very unethical
and bogus company Emerald Relocations. Those giving good reviews are lucky that things went well for their shipment, but, for
people like myself what we have come up against is absolutely disgraceful.

If anyone is planning to use them, my sincere advice is don't do it. If you have any questions to ask, please do so, I would
be very happy to answer them. rituahoojaanand@gmail.com

And If you do still decide to use them, because they will probably give you the lowest quote and Manoj will let you know that
I am a difficult customer hence the bad review. (I am sure you would be an equally bad customer in his eyes, if you had to go through what
I have done and given him the review that I am giving.)

1. Please get them to come & check out your stuff & give you a firm written quote before you allow them take your stuff.
2. Also, please get paperwork for the invoice and insurance etc. in your hand, before you trust the Company, so that if anything is broken you
can write directly to the insurance company. I wish you all the best with your move, may it be a happy one for you.

Lousy. Very unethical Company does not honour responsibilit.

I got taken in by the smooth, sweet talking Manoj only to find out later that the negative reviews were absolutely correct & that this company, is a con, bogus & most unethical & unreliable company. It takes your money but does not not honour its responsibilites.
They gave me a quote of Rs. 90,000 to send my shipment from Pune to Melbourne, Australia, without sending anyone to check out my stuff. I was new to all this moving stuff & no one I knew had done the same, so I had no one to guide me. I liked the way Manoj explained things to me & the price they quoted me & so I gave them the job.

Being professionals, they should have done what was right by both of us, by sending a person to assess the cost of moving the stuff by taking a good look at it, before quoting their initial price of approximately Rs. 90,000. As it is, I don't know if they were right in what they said & whether or not the table could really not have been dismantled.

Anyway, at that moment with 3/4 of my stuff packed already, I had little choice but to okay the extra price, which I was told would be as nominal as possible. An astronomical amount, which, had it been quoted earlier, I would not have accepted & would rather have left my stuff in India. But,the stuff had been sent & I had no other option but to pay the bill. I got charged more than double just to accommodate one dining table & a couple of other small pieces of furniture which did not increase the volume to over double what it already was. However, I would still have given them a good review if this was all it was.
2. I was also told by Manoj in writing that the new amount would cover all my costs, including those to be paid in Australia. So that, there would be no more to pay. That made me feel a bit better about the payment. However, when the stuff reached Melbourne, I was told that there would be a quarantine fee of $187. I explained to the receiving company that I had already paid that amount to the shipper, but, they said the shipper was not paying it to them so I would have to do it myself.

i spoke to Manoj, he assured me they would pay me back the money into my account in India, if I would pay it in Melbourne. He gave me in writing by sms and email that I was not liable to pay it as the Comany had already charged me for it. And I had no other option but to pay the money, before the Company in Australia started charging me storage fees.

3. When the shipment reached my home, it was found that there was a dining chair with a broken leg & a picture with the glass shattered. I had paid top dollar to have the shipment insured fully & so I mentioned it to Manoj & he said not to worry, he would get in touch with the insurance company & they would reimburse me for the damage so I could get it fixed with the insurance money. The insurance money was included in the main invoice & I paid top dollar for full coverage, however, Manoj had never handed me the insurance papers & probably had never paid into any insurance for me as it still has not been reimbursed to me for repairs of the damaged stuff. But, I have it in writing from him that it is to be paid by his company. All this has cost me an extra $550 over & ontop of the price of Rs. 2 lakhs & 10,000 bringing the cost up to almost 2 and a half lakhs.

I must say that I had a lot of regard for Manoj, up until then, as that the young man & I had formed a nice friendly business relationship in the months we were negotiating & actually sending out the stuff. But, sadly, the reviews were right Manoj is not trustworthy, not a man of his word. He is a sweet-talking conman who is most unethical and dishonest. Till date, I have got neither the insurance money nor the quarantine money & Manoj takes me for a fool & keeps promising to send me money for my losses, just as a delaying tactics to keep me from sending out this review. But, I have finally realized that this man & his bogus Company are not to be trusted.

I was hoping to have given a good review, but as it now stands, I am hoping to bring this up with the Shipping Ombudsman and the Ministry of Fair Trading in order for them to intervene on my behalf and get me my compensation from this very unethical company, Emerald Relocations.

To anyone who wishes to use them, my advice is please don't ....Manoj is a great talker and businessman till it comes to honouring their responsibility to you. They are not at all trustworthy.
However, if you do still decide to use them, 1. please get them to come & check out your stuff & give you a firm quote in writing before you allow them take your stuff. 2. Also, please get paperwork for the invoice and insurance etc. in hard copy so that if anything is broken so you can write directly to the insurance company. Wishing you all the best in your move. Hopefully, it will not be like mine.
