I am extremely satisfied with Viamar service. I had only 10 days to move from Toronto to the UK and Viamar did its best to pick up my boxes on time and arrange the paperwork. The delivery was smooth and on time in England, No damage to my belonging. They are very honest, punctual, and friendly. Very decent price and no hidden cost. considering that I moved in the middle of pandemic and they provided such a great service, I highly recommend them.

highly unprofessional and careless car destroyer

This company destroys your car and does not respond to any form of reaching out. I have been ignored since it happened in 2019. I received my car with countless dents and paint damage, as well as the destruction of the back of my car (see google reviews for a picture). Think more than twice before doing business with this unprofessional organization that executes transport in a very careless manner.

Great prices,attentive service,100% followthu

I had a great experience using this company.I shipped 2 pallets/half a cargo container of personal effects from Toronto to Tokyo and everything went smooth as silk.John(I believe his name is) was helpful and so his brother as was the secretary too.

Prices were very good,thats why I chose them at first but after getting fast e-mail replies compared to other companies I decided these were the guys Id use.They even were willing to accomodate some custom requests I had.5 star experience all the way

Moving shipment from door to door

It was difficult to get all the information we needed, it was as if we were supposed to know everything. John was very helpful, but also at times grumpy and he even told us at one time to find someone else. This happened a bit late in the process, so we decided to ask him if we could go ahead with Viamar. With a lot of emails things eventually went well. Corona did make it difficult, we could not deliver the shipment to Mississauga ourselves (no access to the warehouse, would have to unload in the parking lot), at that point John organized it being picked up, which went great.
The best part was Fabio who organized the clearing at customs in Rotterdam and the transportation from Rotterdam, he was very helpful and reacted right away when transport from Rotterdam was delayed. The transport company send a young driver who was very helpful, but because of the small truck we had to unload one of the pallets in the truck first and than bring it to our door. Strange to send just one person with such a heavy load. Fortunately even if we both are 70+, we are fit enough to help. So not delivered quite to our door.
Many of the plastic storage containers were damaged. There were some scratches and dents in the furniture, but nothing was missing and nothing broke. Things obviously could have been handled more carefully.

Stressful and misleading

Unfortunately, this was a very stressful and unpleasant experience. While they were initially helpful, I found myself spending days chasing for answers about process, correcting their paperwork, overcharged and received my stuff a month late. A few things were particularly misleading: guaranteed timeframes which, after they had my money and possessions was told they don’t offer. I also received surprise added costs for extra volume after they encouraged us to add extra items, assuring us we were within the volume limit. Terrible experience and all the issues were so unnecessary.

As expected for the price

The company communication was excellent and John was answering when needed and quickly by email. The delivery was done as expected and Viamar repacked everything. Unfortunately, a lot of our boxes were broken when they arrived because the repackaging of the full container was professional and extremely tight but our plastic boxes were not resistant for a professional move. They delivered the product as expected and on time.

Although the price was good, after the experience we had, we wished we had paid more and used a more professional moving company.
Viamar staff were rude, disorganised and didn't do a good job. In fact, their behaviour was so petty that it seemed as though they damaged our items on purpose as I said I would be contacting CIFFA.
Summary of our experience:
1. We paid for a door to door service. They sent one mover, not two as discussed, so my husband had to help load the moving truck.
2. We received no updates. When I got in touch to enquire, John was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He then cut off contact - despite still having our belongings - as though this was some sort of personal relationship and not one with a client. We had no idea what was happening with our belongings.
3. They had said they would professionally wrap certain items once everything was at the warehouse. Not only did they not do that, when our items finally arrived, we saw they had written with permanent marker on a mattress, and taken off the plastic covers from our paintings and then just squeezed them up against the boxes so they had dents in them. They even left a half drunk bottle of water in amongst our boxes. Disgusting.
In summary - steer clear of Viamar.

Moving shipment from door to door

The communication went mostly through email and sometimes it needed several emails before we understood how to best organize the shipment.
Since we have not arrived in the Netherlands and neither has the shipment, we don't know how everything will arrive, but are expecting no problems.
At first we wanted to drop our things off at the warehouse, but due to covid restrictions we had no access to the loading dock and there would have been no help with unloading. Therefor we opted for having the shipment picked up here, this also took a few emails, but once it was settled everything went smoothly. The pick up at this end was pleasant and quick.

Catastrophic experience

Bad in every way:
- They don't come to establish the estimate and undersize the volume based on a few photos (in order to overcharge the additional volume). As a result, we were obliged to pay DOUBLE of what was agreed when the contract was signed.
- Managers are either stupid, incompetent or dishonest (or all three).
- The move took 4 months instead of the 6 weeks announced.
- The "advice" of the managers has turned out to be totally false: they don't know what they are talking about.
- Once you have signed the contract, you no longer have any rights (except the right to pay), no matter if their service has nothing to do with what was advertised.

Painless & Honest

I called around shipping companies for a solid couple of months from the UK and Canada. Everyone tried to rip me off first chance they got, you could hear the salivating vulture in them, except Viamar. He explained to me the cheapest way to get my car here. He took care of everything and even gave me a contact in the UK that would help take of bringing my car over seamlessly. There was a lot more to do after i got my car here. But that was all on me. I saved a lot of money dealing with Viamar. My car didnt have a scratch on it. They are very genuine and honest, You honestly could not deal with a better company. These days everyone tries to screw you over any chance they get that. I was so fortunate the unvierse led me to them. So that my vision could take shape. Thank you.

household contents from Canada to Scotland

the receiving end was no able to delivery goods in a timely manner, even after the shipment had cleared customs.
there was damage to the majority of the furniture.
now we have to go through the process of an insurance claim.
will not do this again.

Excellent,no surprises,fast and best price

Pricing changed a couple of times before finalising but keep track of emails keep them on track,the pickup was easy and delivery to the UK was fast.Overall the best price and the service was excellent with no hassle at all ,would highly recommend.

In general, I would be happy to recommend them

We were happy to receive a very affordable quote from Viamar and found their service easy to use. They responded quickly to our inquiries and helped us with the process of moving internationally. The only issue we found was that the time estimate they quoted us was a great deal shorter than the time it took to move our belongings. We were quoted with approximately 6-8 weeks to receive our goods, and the total time has turned into over three months instead.

In general, I would be happy to recommend them, but would suggest planning for the goods to take longer than you expect to arrive, if you're moving from Canada to overseas.

Viamar gets my vote. My shipment containing pictures, crystal and some dainty antiques arrived in London, UK in perfect condition. They travelled from Toronto to Montreal by truck, then by ship to Southampton, then to a warehouse in the north of the country and finally to me in London. Not a ding. All perfect. And in contrast to the quote in the movers' association website which says "If it's too cheap to be good, then it probably isn't", this was actually the cheapest quote by far. So I am a very happy customer.

Although I have no comparison with other shipping companies since it was my first move with a shipping company, I can very much recommend the friendly and competent service as well as fair pricing of Viamar Scilla Transport International.
The delivery of my stuff to their Mississauga warehouse was simple and quick, whenever I had questions I received a quick reply from them, the shipped goods all arrived as planned (without any damage) and the customs clearance, storage and pickup at the German warehouse of CFR Carshippers in Bremen and communication with the latter were also exemplary.
