I chose RSS LLC for our move to Paris because of multiple recommendations I received from expats on online message boards. I am very pleased with the services received and extremely impressed with their professionalism and can see why they are so highly recommended by others that have moved to France.

I initially requested pricing through some website online and was contacted by at least 10 different companies. I was not at all impressed after speaking with representatives from these companies. I wasn't convinced that they really knew what they were talking about because each one seemed to give me different information. A friend suggested I join one of the expat groups on Facebook to see if people in the group had any recommendations. One name kept coming up so I reached out to them. I have just completed my move and used RSS LLC on the recommendation of the members in the expat group. Everything with my move went well and I highly recommend RSS LLC to those looking to move to France.

Nothing like being called a liar. As I told Michelle of RSS, I have never known a thief to report they are stealing. We provided them pictures of items stolen and still called us a liar. We also gave them pictures of the container when it left and when it arrived and you can tell the container was reloaded into a smaller container at some point. The container was packed single layer and arrived double stacked when it arrived.

I read all the positive reviews thinking that I was in good hands, especially since I had limited shipping options to Central America. When I interacted with Kate Deluca, she gave me confidence in the company, but the reality was disappointing. Initially quoted around 4k for shipping a one-bedroom apartment, we agreed on the price after I sent pictures of my items. However, they deceived me to sign the contract. Following their instructions, I packed my belongings as directed, but the local hiring company they contracted refused to ship my items due to improper packing. Despite trying to contact RSS, I received blame for the situation and was forced to pay more for a larger shipping container, doubling my expenses to 8k.
The way my belongings were left in the parking lot and the unexpected out-of-pocket expenses due to their negligence left me extremely upset. The false promises regarding customs charges and the unprofessional customs broker hired upon arrival resulted in a significant additional financial loss of 5k. It seems that RSS prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, as evident from their lack of communication and unfulfilled promises. Kate and Michelle may initially appear professional, but their attitude changes once the contract is signed, leaving customers feeling neglected and at fault for any issues that arise. Be cautious when dealing with them, as they tend to tell you what you want to hear to secure the contract. I lost total of 13k from the 4k that I was quoted.

They take care of you until there is no way back

They are cheap, but they will go for the cheapest option, even if you have a black on white agreement on a faster option. they won't inform you about that and they stop communicating after they picked up your stuff (= there is no way back).

They were responsive and they offered a competitive price & timings (42 days). That's why I chose RSS.
When they sent me their 'final reservation' they included a vessel that took 63 days, 3 weeks more.. and if I wanted to get a faster boat I had to pay extra. I did not agree with this while we discussed a 42 days schedule. Eventually, they agreed on the faster boat (39 days) for the same price. so far, so good.
After the movers came by to pick our stuff, RSS was not responsive at all anymore. after 3 requests they sent me the track&trace... guess what.. the container was on the slow boat. after asking for the correct boat / T&T they said 'we are looking into it' and then they went silent. after several more e-mails they responded on the expected day of arrival that the container was indeed on the slower boat. 'because there was no space anymore' --> yeah right.

Luckily the company that was taking care of my container in NL was a great help, but Ì don't want to know how things would have been if something went wrong. oh, and the cost at customs was also much higher than they promised us.

They were excellent in terms of professionalism, communication and punctuality. Plus, they took great care of my belongings that were shipping from Austin Texas to Sydney Australia. I highly recommend the ladies at RSS!

Boston to Paris move

I used RSS to ship from Boston to Paris France. I received about a dozen estimates from various companies and had countless conversations with the salespeople from those companies. Very few appeared as knowledgeable as the team at RSS LLC. I received immediate responses to any questions I had and a very detailed quote from Michelle Bergmann at RSS. I am happy that I selected them to coordinate my move. They were on time , professional, and extremely careful with my things. I would use them again in a minute and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other people moving the France. I can't thank everyone there enough for their patience and understanding. Everything arrived safe. I was fully satisfied with the services they provided.

Not a good experience in any way.

I moved overseas, from US to Switzerland, and had a truly terrible experience on a $13,000 move. Especially with the team that packed and loaded my belongings.
- The crew of 6 people arrived late and with the wrong equipment.
- Their truck got stuck midway and they charged me for the time they were stuck (1.5 hours).
- 3 members of the crew *clearly* had never worked packing belongings before. You wouldn't believe how the books were packed.
- As a result there were in many broken and scratched objects and furniture.
- There was no clear organization and things were loaded haphazardly into the container.
- One member of the crew spent most of the day in the bathroom, but they still charged me 6-person 7-hour.
- RSS (especially Michelle) didn't own up to it any of the problems during packing and loading and were completely hands-off.
- The experience in Switzerland during unload and unpacking was excellent.
RSS basically coordinates companies, and they go with the lowest bidders, regardless on how much they charge you. Overall the kind of service and customer service I would not have expected even from the least experienced movers.

Everything was handled very professionally. Excellent communication throughout. All our belongings arrived in excellent condition, on time, quickly and as promised. Michelle Bergmann was great to deal with.

Georgia to Italy work relocation

I used the services of RSS LLC for moving from the US to Italy. From our first contact to when our items arrived in Italy, RSS provided a professional service. They answered every question we had and even made arrangements so speak with me after hours before my move date when I was in a panic because of a change in my closing date on my US home. I highly recommend RSS. They treat you like a friend, not just a number.

My international move has been a complete nightmare. I was so overwhelmed by all the information that I got, which didn't end up being helpful anyway. The day I got to the assigned shipping yard to drop off my stuff the company there didn't even know I needed them to palletize my things, RSS could not be reached by phone, I sent an email complaining and they finally called me back. My husband and I mostly palletized the stuff ourselves. It took 2 hours there at the drop-off. No one had told us we needed to "Check in" there with our moving truck full of stuff. Now I'm in Australia and I find RSS hasn't even paid the shipping company here yet. So I have to call and hassle them. I can't express how stressful this move has been and how fairly unhelpful RSS was.

I will not recommended to anybody to use the RSS LLC they did extremely bad service no service and never available. They are horrible.

Oh boy. In a nutshell, it worked, but if you hire them, make sure you have nerves of steel and laser focus. Otherwise, there will be trouble, like in our case.

1. For some unclear reason RSS claims to be a Delaware company. However, everyone I spoke to (including the "management", whatever it means in a 5 people shop) is located in Florida.
2. Because of a supposed miscommunication, we were charged additional $850 out of which after some bickering I got $300 back.
3. The Singaporean agency was excellent.

Upon researching different shipping companies, I concluded that the choice in the US East Coast is the proverbial turd sandwich vs. douche bag. That was the least worst option I found, and while I'd be horrified at their standards in most places, it's probably OK for the US.

Due to some specific requirements I chose to use a local packer/loader and am unloading the container with the help of family. However.. the service of RSS in the US and in turn Supreme Freight in the UK has been excellent. Specifically Kate was fantastic.
I would highly recommend RSS for a simple good value quote and service when shipping household effects overseas.

The help on the leaving country was great. However the help on the going to country was not good. I did not get answers on what I can take until after the shipment left. The paperwork that I needed to get in Portugal was not clear. It would have helped to name the documents in portugiese as well and a list of offices where you can go ask for them. No communication in between the office staff (Invivtus) as well. My new phone number was never updated and actually used.

Said anything to get the sale,
* Driver did not arrive on the agreed date (container showed up 24 hours late)
* Container was delayed, was unloaded in the wrong country (!!)
* Lots of additional charges (storage, handling, customs, local freight at destination, payment) only revealed along the wa
* Misleading information provided on charges, dates, insurance
* Insurance information not provided until stuff was being loaded onto the container (when I was hassling them) -- but needed to be done in advance to be valid.

Would strongly recommend NOT to use RSS. They will mislead and overcharge you, and the service will not be as agreed.

Saving grace: Michelle and Kate were pleasant, and our container did eventually arrive.

First time using sea shipping company. And shipment is not completed yet. Would have been better if RSS,LLC would have explained how the process works in plain english. Terms like BL/surrender and THC/ fee I had to Google to know what they meant. On one email I was sent two attached documents and told to print the label and attach it to all boxes. Neither document had the word Label on it. When I asked which one I should print. Reply email only repeated print the label. I had to figure out which document was the label. Other than this those I was in email contact with were very helpful. But since I was not told how the entire process is done I'm now trying to get the THC/ fee resolved. I have already gotten the BL/ surrender resolved. Working through these problems I now understand the entire process. And would not recommend sea shipment to any body that has never been involved with it. Even though I now understand the process. I will never ship anything by sea in the future.
