I used Viking International Moving to move from New Jersey to Italy. They did a very good job from the very beginning coming before hand to have a look at all my stuff to the very end coordinating everything until the delivery of my stuff. The team pack and load everything was very friendly and efficient. My move was fast. I will highly recommend this company for their very good, professional, warm, friendly and human service for international moving. Thank you Viking International Moving !!

Completely incompetent in dealing with International Moves. For some strange reason, they thought it was a good idea to hire a UK import agent for an Irish import. Also, failed to provide required paperwork, failed to disclose nature of shipment. They completely take your money and leave you at the mercy of vulture import companies. STAY AWAY!! They do not know what they are doing. 1000% incompetent.

EXCELLENT MOVING SERVICE: Moved in November from New York to Paris with our entire household of 5 people and 2 cars Viking handled the move very professionally . Our shipment arrived in Paris and was delivery by Vikings agent also a great company and performed to a very high standard. I want to say THANK YOU to all the staff at Viking and would use them on our next international move.

The crew at Viking was terrific!

The crew at Viking was terrific! They stayed with me from start to finish. Made my move from NYC to Belgium easy. John was my main contact and helped me every step of the way. They worked out the logistics of my move to where it would be the most cost effective. The movers were professional, courteous and efficient. They made sure everything was packed properly and transported with care. I received everything a few days earlier than expected and the movers in Belgium arrived with everything in the same perfect condition as they left. I highly recommend them!!

Moving to Australia during COVID - Thanks Viking!

My wife and I were in Australia to close on our new home just outside of Sydney. With everything going on we were afraid that if we left to go back to the US to pack up and move that we would get stuck in “Hotel Morrison” for two-week quarantine when we returned to NSW. So we started looking for moving companies who could do it all remotely. Our building in Manhattan has really strict rules on moving times and with COVID would only allow movers who met certain criteria. Thank god we found Viking International. I worked with Joe from Viking using Zoom and he helped coordinate with my building. They scheduled the move within a week and brought iPads with them so that my wife could see what was happening and give them instructions on everything.

We have a small 2BR in UWS and the entire move cost us $7000. I shopped around a bit, but options were limited because most companies couldn’t comply with the COVID requirements. Needless to say it was bizarre managing a move without being there, but we were so happy when it all arrived. Scheduling the move-in with the local Viking office was easy. They arrived on time, respected physical distancing, and were very careful. Everything was packed neatly, and nothing was broken. Even our grumpy co-op board was happy – the movers left the apartment clean and we heard that they swept up before they left. Thank you Viking for being so professional and making a difficult situation much easier!

I dealt with John at Viking international moving, and once he was in possession of my items, things were handled EXTREMELY unprofessionally. At the beginning of the process, I was expected to fill out several forms with all the necessary information, most importantly, where the items were going and who was receiving the items. Due to the sheer incompetency of processing, the airway bill (shipment tracking document) was filled out with the wrong name for the consignee (person who received the items), in spite of me having filled out those forms diligently, which would’ve left my items unable to be picked up at customs if it weren’t for me catching the error. However, I caught the error and amended the paperwork (and John assured me that the changes and corrections would be reflected). Once my items arrived at the destination (8 days ahead of schedule), I received an abrupt and curt email from John asking for an explanation as to why my items hadn’t been picked up and that I would be facing exorbitant storage charges at the airport. I was never informed that they were ready for pickup from neither Viking nor their local agent until six days after the items arrival. When I asked John why I was not notified of the items arrival, he said, “tracking your items is not my job.” After speaking with customs, I discovered that the consignee not notified because the shipment was sent with the wrong (original and not amended) airway bill/paperwork with the wrong consignee and contact information, meaning that even tracking my items was an impossible task.

This was an extremely frustrating and lengthy process that would’ve been made a lot simpler by the number of other companies. I would advise anyone to stay away from Viking as they care more about the money than customer satisfaction. For every time they tell you not to worry and that it’ll all be handled, you should be worried and expect things to not be handled.

Efficient, well managed and professional - we would use them

John and his team in New York did an excellent job in packing up our goods for shipment. They were efficient, professional and managed all the health and safety issues associated with COVID-19. John was extremely flexible with dates, which kept changing due to airline shutdowns and border closures.

Excellent Customer Service

Viking handled my recent move from NJ to Paris. From the first call I felt very comfortable with them. They were very nice and explained the entire move process in detail. This was great because this was my first international move and I was clueless. Movers showed up to my home on time and were really nice guys. Everything was nicely packed and ready for my move. My belongings arriving with damage was a big concern for me. However, everything arrived on time and in perfect condition!

NO REGRETS

I am so throughly happy that I contacted Viking International Moving. The job they did for me was incredible. They were very responsive when I first contacted them about my move to Croatia in November 2019. I was provided with a decent estimate and decided to move forward with them. I have never seen anyone take such great care with furniture. They wrap it like a new born baby. I received my belongings on time and were delivered to me without a scratch. Experts at what they do. I will continue to recommend them to anyone i know that is moving. Thanks Viking!!

Great Services, Stress Free Move

Viking moved 10 large pieces furniture and 1 vintage grand piano all the way to Austria without damage or unexpected additional expenses. They packed and crated each item as needed to be for the long voyage. Movers showed up on time. It was very noticeable how experienced they were with packing. They put three layers of different packing material over all wooden furniture and 2 layers of moving blankets over our couches. We were especially worried about our grand piano. It's been in our family for years. They took very good care of it. Not a scratch was on it when it arrived to our new place. We had 3 movers do the move out and 4 movers showed up to do the move in. Mainly to get the piano up the stairs which took some time but they got it done. The whole team worked quickly but more importantly smart with no steps wasted. This was a great value for the price.

Spectacular Moving Company

All aspects of this long distance move went according to plan. I’m very impressed and happy with how it turned out. Process was easy and Viking was very accommodating to our needs. Mostly happy with the fact that none of my expensive and irreplaceable belongings were not harmed or broken. Moving crews in New York and Australia were a pleasure to work with. If I ever need another international move, Viking will always be my choice for the job.

Easy, Stress Free!

International moving felt so unbelievable complex. There are so many parts of this move that need to go right for the whole thing to be smooth. It also takes a large team to ensure a move outside of the U.S. goes well. I did my research online before calling any business up for a quote.Viking International Moving was easy to speak with and had no problem taking extra time to answer questions. They had a good amount of options which is what drew me to them in the first place. Within a few weeks everything arrived in Rio undamaged and on time!

Positive experience with Viking

I chose Viking for a move to the UK a couple months ago. Experience was very positive in every way. They were very responsive and explained the process and cost right away. The movers were very nice and packed all of my belongings safely. The cost wasn't the cheapest but definitely very reasonable. All of my belongings arrived without any damage and within the time frame provided by Viking. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a trusted moving company.

The service from Viking was a disgrace.

These guys let me down badly on the Friday afternoon before our Memorial Day move and I had to go with someone else .
The service from Viking was a disgrace.
They were in regular contact when bidding for the job but after I had decided to go with them I was surprised that it was I who had initiate any communication. I knew something was up when I didn't hear from them during the week before our move, and I was dismayed when Michael told me (after I had called him) on the Friday afternoon before our move that he would have to postpone, which was not an option for us. I got the impression that a bigger order had come in. I had no faith in them coming up with a suitable plan and opted to call IMN who fortunately were able to help.
I cannot stress enough how disappointed I was in Michael and in Viking - this was the worst display of professionalism and customer service that I have ever encountered with any business. I would not trust these guys again. For anything. Ever.

They were patient, kind, funny and very efficient!

The guys who came to pack our things in America were fantastic! What took me weeks to organized they packed up in a few hours. Amazing! The guys in the UK were incredible! They were patient, kind, funny and very efficient! They made a very stressful process easier!

Viking International Moving

Communication was poor. Goods were not packed properly for international moving. Not all furniture was wrapped. They ran out of time and rushed. Goods were literally stuffed into the container and my expensive mattress used as a support.

Viking International Moving

Viking were approximately the same price as others but had a different personal approach. The men they sent to pack were charming, efficient, fast and respectful. I am still waiting for my goods to arrive in the UK but I feel confident that all will be well. Excellent service.

Viking International Moving

Worst experience ever. Not only did they overcharge us, upon pickup and completion they gave us one price, amd when they items got to the location they changed the price on us. I will wait to see what happens in civil court, as I will get what's owed back to me. We had a baby and they held our stuff hostage until we paid their pirate fees, I might add this is after they took 5 days extra getting it to us.
