I wanted to let you all readers know that all of the moving parts in US and here in Italy (Davide from Avimar) were nothing short of EXCELLENT service. I mean, Davide was the bomb. He was so helpful and pro, I can't even tell you how much we love him.
But even the smaller parts (which are not small at all) like the truck drivers (both in LA and here in Italy) were so kind and awesome. Even the crew that unloaded the container was out of this world!
I wanted to thank this company for the work integrity and the personal integrity of the workers. Companies can only be as good as the individuals who work in them and you guys ALL killed it.
My rep in US, Robert Rupert and his team were total pro, straight to the point, clear and very efficient. On time on every point. This company has made our huge, headache move, easy but most importantly got it done right! Thank you again

So much easier than I imagined

From the first phone call this team were amazing.I am a 74 year old that had just lost her husband but they were so kind and helpful.They talked me through all the stages as I am far from tech savvy.I would recommend this firm to anyone doing an international move.Great service great price

The people we met were great, but the others were not.

The men who loaded and unloaded the items were great. However, we had items missing, and also had items damaged. We had a broken mirror and a broken vase. The box that the vase was in must haven fallen, as a corner of it was smashed. We also had at least 3 boxes that never made it in the shipment.
Also, I had been told repeatedly that we needed more information from the Portuguese Consulate, or we would likely not get through customs. So, I send additional information to the Consulate in San Francisco, and to do that had to pay to have an item notarized and then pay about $50 in postage. I was later told that none of this was necessary after they determined that what I had emailed them, and later sent the originals received from the Consulate, that all was fine.
Again, the men that wrapped and loaded the items, as well as the men who unloaded and delivered the items were great. But, I would never recommend the company to whom I paid for the shipping, as they don't seem to want to take any responsibility for the damages nor lost items.

Overall experience was good. Upon arrival to final destination there was a final fee to be to the importer and customs. Would've appreciated an estimate of that prior to shipping. Other than that, household goods were recieved in a timely manner with no damage.

So far it has been a good experience.

The movers were professional, through and friendly. They packed item with care and were very prompt. The price was not the cheapest but not the most expensive. I hope that everything goes smoothly at the other end as it did at this end. The move is not yet complete and will be happy to rate after I have received my shipment.
