Horrible, timely, lost boxes and stolen items

I moved my house hold goods from my storage from California to Germany recently. I chose to decline the insurance that the company offered, which was a big mistake. If you choose to decline the insurance, the company makes you sign an agreement that you will not pursue legal action against the company incase anything happens to your shipment. Upon arrival of my goods, majority of my boxes were opened with tape over the top of them with tape I did not seal my boxes with, and you can see inside my boxes and easily take things from them. I had 3 black tough boxes that were sealed and in good condition with expensive items in them. They were all broken on the sides, wheels were missing and they were no longer usable for storage or transport. I have shipped these military tough boxes overseas many times over the years, through APO, USPS, and other contracted entities and never have they been so damaged to the point of having to throw them away and them being useless. They are TOUGH boxes, designed to take a beating, and they looked like they were deliberately damaged and opened to pick and choose what was inside. 1 of them I had for years and the other 2 were brand new (some of my other regular cardboard boxes came in mint condition, but thats because they had kitchen items in them, which of course who would want to steal used kitchen items right?) Inside one of my tough boxes I had 4 practically brand new pairs of Jordan and other basketball shoes , and a very expensive jacket in the other. The box with the shoes was very light as I began going through my items, and those 4 pairs of shoes boxes were gone, along with other shoes that I did not have boxes for that had some high value. Also my expensive jacket was gone from the other tough box. I also received a box that was not mine, which ended up being the legs of a table, so I ultimately was missing a whole box. I contacted LA Dynamic and they said it was most likely the California Customs department who took my items and that they would double check on it. I have emailed them following up on the matter, no response. I contacted the local shipping company who accepted my goods from the states in the Netherlands, and all they were concerned about was the extra box that I got that did not belong to me, and did not make any efforts or follow ups regarding my missing box or my missing shoes and jacket. In total I lost over 1200 dollars worth of shoes and the Jacket, along with an entire box that I did not have a detailed inventory list of, but there were definitely some nice shoes and clothes in it which I have had for years.

Anyone considering going through this company to ship your goods from the states to overseas, I highly recommend you choose another company, unless you want your high valued items to go missing, and for the company not to care if your stuff does go missing. I was also told I would not go through a customs search, which ended up happening anyways, which the company also charged me an additional 250+ dollars for, which resulted in waiting a few more weeks for my goods. In total i think I waited over 4 months, and was told id wait about 2.

All of my boxes had been looked through, except for the ones that had kitchen items, papers, and worthless things that I've accumulated over the years. It was as if they scanned my boxes, saw nice items and took what they wanted. I know for a fact that I did not account for everything that was missing, but I of course am furious and hurt for having certain items that I held value to, that had a high dollar value, stolen and nothing was done about it-just ignored. All of my boxes with my nice stuff were tossed and turned inside as if they were dumped out and thrown back into random boxes, poorly sealed back together, and was ultimately shipped to me as if all of my boxes were dragged and tossed around. I even tipped the guys who picked up my stuff from storage and the guys who delivered my goods to my apartment, shake my head.

Bottom line, my boxes were opened and searched by someone, extremely damaged, I had items stolen, the company did not respond to me after following up with them, I was charged extra for a customs search, waited very long, and I am still missing a whole (big) box of goods.

Horrible.

The WORST move EVER

MOVE : Sausalito, California to Arles, France

The company, super communicative until the got my money, first told me the wrong name of the cargo vessel. When arrival delays began to mount, I tracked the named ship. The vessel was in Greece... nowhere near my home in Arles nor the expected docking port in Holland. This ship never went to Holland. When challenged, they said my goods were unloaded in Italy and sent on another ship to Holland. REALLY? At this point I pretty worried.

And in the end, I had a right to be worried. About 4 months later, my boxes arrived mostly damaged and / or crushed. Almost all of my china was broken. Then, when I discovered that someone else's box was delivered to my house, I realized that at least one of my boxes was not delivered to me. Missing goods included a camera and a lens (I am photographer) and some things for my trade. But luckily, as they told me, I got that expensive insurance!

Except that the insurance doesn't cover anything packed by me - and the insurance company (WK Webster) is claiming that it was all packed by me... but it wasn't, only the dishes and the clothes were packed by me. The inventory should be marked as such - and the copy I have does indeed appear to be so.

In the end I have paid almost $1000 for an insurance policy that was apparently never intended to cover my goods ... and not only am I out the cost of the insurance but the $6,000 from my claim.

Did this moving company sell me a duff insurance policy intentionally? Does anyone have a similar experience?

Either the moving company knew what was going on and that I was packing half my items myself, and then sold me a duff policy unintentionally, or then need to pay more attention. MORE ATTENTION. More attention to both the way the goods are transported and what boxes get delivered.

I would love to upload some photos to show everyone the state my boxes arrived in....

Best ones out there

Straight forward company, detailed quote and super informative and responsive, my move has been a very good experience which was worth paying more for as they were not the cheapest (but fair). I have already recommended their service to a few colleagues who are also relocating. Keefer- Patrick- they were incredible, and so was their packing team, the head foreman constantly told the rest of the crew to "treat everything as if it was your own" and everything was packed and padded extremely well. In the Netherlands and Amsterdam specifically we have parking issues and space issues, but their delivery team handled it without any issues, confirming all my details prior to the delivery. Well recommended, thank you to everyone at Dynamic L.A.

Went very well

My move was perfectly fine. I can't say I experienced anything close to the complaints written here. Dynamic was excellent.

Two Thumbs Up- Pleasant Experience

I felt comfortable using their company from the start and happy to say they did not fail in delivering excellent service both in California and here in Australia. This review is late, but well deserved. Shipped March 2019 from Santa Barbara to Sydney AU, using a container of 20 feet.

STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED

I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THE DYNAMIC L.A. THEIR SERVICE WAS VERY POOR. THEY WERE IRRESPONSIBLE FOR CUSTOMER CARE AT ALL. OF COURSE, I HAVE LOTS OF DAMAGES OF MY GOODS.

I moved from Singapore to San Diego in Sept. 2019. The Dynamic L.A. was a local vendor who handled the domestic delivery from the LA port to my home in San Diego. First, I was not happy with their poor communication and irresponsibility on customer care. They have NEVER contacted me even after 8 days passing from the estimated arrival date. Although I called them two times in the meantime, their answer was always repeated “since a person in charge is out of office, there is nothing they can say about my shipment.”

Second, their communication was unilateral and coercive. A few days later, Karvi called me and said my shipment arrived and will be delivered a next day at 12 pm. What? this one-day notice was too urgent. I requested to change it to 3 pm next day, but Karvi said “NO, that is the only available time slot and the next delivery is a month later with $135 of the storage fee.” A manager, Sigalit Hezroni, also said “Get it the next day if you want to avoid this additional fee”. I felt like a coercive order from my company boss. I was very unpleasant with the fact that they do not allow any other option on a customer side. Why should a costumer have all kinds of penalties for such a short notice? Why didn’t they try to contact me earlier? So my family has enough time to adjust our reschedules without the schedule conflict. For whatever happenings and requests, they always said to me “talk with your agency in Singapore side”. Of course, I have lots of damages of my goods. I was very upset with their irresponsible service and unilateral communication.

Dynamic L.A.

I cannot say enough BAD things about this company - they packed me at the end of June from SF to London -- it is the end of September and my stuff is STILL NOT with me. They have taken my money and ALL SERVICE has stopped. My emails for help and explanation have been met with absolute silence. It's like they have my money and now they just don't care --- I am utterly disgusted with this organization -- As they have not responded to my requests for information -- my only hope is to go to social media and post my complaints and ask my friends to spread the word --- just AWFUL. I had to chase them for when my shipment left and arrived, they gave their UK partner, Simpsons, my wrong email address (by the way I asked Dynamic for name of partner - NEVER provided) I could go and on and on - please, please know that my experience with Dynamic has just been unbearable - utterly useless!!

I expected them to be more on time, faster and responsive. I had to push and call them over and over again to send me the documents and bill of lading while they could have done it much faster.

Excellent. Ralph from XSBaggage was amazing at helping me get my items back to New Zealand. The price was very reasonable compared to other options and the items arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend using this to others. Thank you A+++

My goods are still on the way to Paris but I do NOT recommend this company. They were very quick and responsive only before I paid $495 deposit. After that, they suddenly became silent. They did not send me necessary documents for custom procedures even though I had asked several times. They did not inform me what time they would come for pick up, ignoring my several inquiries. As a result, on the pick up day, I had to sit in my room and wait for them from morning until evening, and eventually, they did not come! When I complained about it, they said their team came to my place in the morning and called me, which was totally untrue (my phone did not receive any call and nobody came to my place in the morning). To be fair, the price is very cheap and they offered $100 discount for compensation of the inconvenience, and that is why I give 1.5 stars. Still I do not know whether I will be able to receive my boxes in Paris...

This is the worst experience ever. They have been incompetent and dishonest from the start. They had no container for us on the day of the moving, they ask us some paper work 4 days after the move and 1 week leter later advised us that everyting did not fit in ! They ate the one who assesed the size of the container needed. The last drop is, they contracted 2 French movers for the same container.... and it goes on and on....

Dynamic L.A.

The company is very courteous and quite accommodating. I had no trouble at all and they offered to store my goods from early June until the shipping date. We discussed when I wanted my shipment to arrive and there was no problem with the August 14th arrival date to Port Piraeus, Greece. HOWEVER, I didn't hear from them since then. This is my first move, ever, using a shipping company. I didn't know what was standard. I moved to Greece as stated and the arrival date came and went. Approximately 1 1/2 weeks before the shipment was due asking if there was some paperwork, guidance for me when collecting my good. I received no answer. I sent another email and also made a phone call. Today 8/25/2016 I received an email informing me they SENT my goods on August 14 or so. This is not what was discussed nor agreed to. I did receive an apology for any miscommunication, but really... this is a pretty big miscommunication. Shipment arrives end Sept. ALL my clothes on ship. NOT HAPPY
