Horrendous and expensive

Doris presented herself professional and kind but there was a huge discrepancy between pre-move survey and packing list. Slapped me with a huge bill (post the move) and refused to release the items till additional payment being made.

WORST EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH A SERVICE PROVIDER!

This has been the WORST experience of my life - at dealing with a service provider!

All that they do is sell proficiently. Doris, the salesperson, looked super professional and was super prompt until I made the advance payment. For my move from Singapore to Bangalore, they were supposed to work over 2 days. They sent just 1 person on day 1 and hardly finished 10% of the work.

Their quality of packing was sub-standard without any use of bubble wrap. I repeatedly requested to ensure that they send sufficient people on the final day and on-time to wrap up the work. They sent just 2 people who landed late in the day and as expected, the work didn't finish by the last day. There was also significant breakage and damage of some of my expensive goods due to their last minute, hastily done packing.

I had to request extension from my landlord by 1 more day and delay my flights and incur many extra charges for their inefficiency. On day 3 as well, their packing staff didn't arrive at all. Doris stopped answering my calls and finally, my mother had to pack most of the things since we couldn't afford any delay. Then again, there was no response for all the damages. They had provided me an estimated delivery within 12 days to Bangalore and then customs clearance. They delayed the promise to 18 days to deliver in Bangalore and all that they have to say is that they have one line in the quotation which says estimates are variable.

There was no communication during customs and delivery and required multiple follow ups. On delivery, I found packages worth 1200$ missing and worth 1500$ completely broken. On top of it, they didn't even unpack 50% of the boxes and left all the furniture completely laying around unassembled even though I had paid them for assembling all dismantled items. They refused to even process my insurance claims and came back with one lie after the other!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR GOODS EVER!

Knowledge and Helpful - exactly what we needed

I needed to move a sensitive shipment of family heritage furniture from Singapore to Toronto. Intertrans was the only one with a weekly shipment that did not compel us to take a full container and a quotation that was by far the best and with the best shipping time. More than that their Singapore representative understood our needs and concerns as well as the official documentation essential for customs clearance and provided us with an economical quotation in a prompt and assuring detailed yet easy to comprehend package. The packers at each end were experienced, customer-oriented, efficient and careful - this ensured that there were not breakages. Both representatives in Canada (in Vancouver and Toronto) were also experienced, punctual, responsive, and helpful. Customs clearance was smooth and duty-free despite the fact that our shipment came 3 years after normal relocation timing - I attribute this to Intertrans knowledge and guidance. I especially appreciated the good positive and patient timely communications between the representatives and me. I would very glad recommend them to anyone shipping personal effects from Singapore to Canada.

Although they packed quite fast and professionally at the flat, when they packed my stuff on pallets to travel they did a bad job with result to break a TV and scratch a chinese altar table and hit the leg of a cabinet .
Misinformed me on the payment clause of the insurance , and I now receive the wrong currency but at least I am receiving the claim
Don't use them if you don't want to have to search for furniture technicians to repair damages!!!

Although expensive which one would expect a guaranty to good packing, many items broken and damaged at arrival.

Everything was fine, until they had to deliver to my apartment.
They charged me a additional fee because delivery address was an apartment and not a house.

I had to move a 1 bedroom apartment to Sydney full packing/unpacking, single container - no sharing, door to door service.
There were 6 guys who came to pack everything. Very professional and good price compared to the others. The best part is that they included the Australia side port fees that none of the other companies did. They also have their own ships so there was no problem at all with any timing of the shipment. They packed and loaded the container within the same day and managed all the communications with the apartment's management. On the Australia side, their counterpart was Allied Pickfords and it was also super smooth. A guy from Allied pickfords called me several times to let me know where my shipment was in terms of quarantine and when it would be delivered. They set up a time and then 5 guys came to deliver, unpack and take away all the empty cartons. I highly recommend their service.
