Terrible - felt like a scam trying to get the shipment
Pre-sales service from Acorn in Dubai was very quick and efficient.
However, once the goods arrived in the UK, they would not answer calls, emails or whatsapps.
It turned out that although they had quoted for storage in the UK, the UK affiliate had not been told about the storage and later delivery needs. This ended up costing an additional £3,000.
The afternoon before our shipment was due to be delivered, we received an email from the UK affiliate telling us that our good wouldn't not be delivered and could be sold because Acorn had not been paying their bills.
Syed, Mohammed and Naveed would not respond to our calls, messages or emails. If felt like a big con.
We have since triggered a debate on the Brits in Dubai facebook page and it turns out other people have had a similar problem. One lady has been waiting four months to get toys back for her kids!
Whilst Acorn provided a average priced quote, because of the issues, it ended up being far more expensive and a lot of hassle which involved us issuing a legal letter in the UK and registering a police case Dubai.
Avoid at all costs.
