Complete diaster

First, the agent was arrogant and vague in responding to questions. He'd always claim he was "just about to call" when I called him to ask what the delay was.
Then, the day of the pick-up, the driver did not show up at the appointed time. I called the agent, who assured me the driver was on their way. Hours later, still nothing. Called again, and was again told he was "just about to call." Then some malarkey about the truck having broken down. They said they'd hired a new truck, and were still on their way. When the truck finally shows up, it's just some rando they hired through an app - and who they told we would be "completely packed up and ready to go." We paid for full export packing & shipping, and had been reassured, multiple times, both verbally and in writing, that we did not need to and should not pack, that we did not need to provide packing materials. So we didn't have any. And at that point, it was so late in the day that all the stores were closed. We ended up packing our goods in plastic boxes, which is bad because a) they were dirty and the customs enforcement often objects to soil being present and b) plastic boxes usually break when being shipped. The agent assured us that all of our goods would be re-packed, properly, into cardboard boxes. We even labelled the boxes with instructions to re-pack.
The company went bankrupt mid-move. Worse, it turned out they hadn't actually paid their subcontractors - so we had to pay thousands extra for our goods to be released.
When we finally got our goods, not only had they not been re-packed as promised, but several items were damaged, and even missing. We never got any insurance payout because -shocker of shockers - they hadn't actually bought the insurance we'd paid for, either.
Complete nightmare. Stay away.

Disaster - worst company ever

scammers. Worst customer experience of my life. Made our move a living nightmare and tried, in my opinion, to blackmail us for extra cash. Threatened to cancel our shipment once there had disappeared with our goods if we didnt pay extra cash. Stay away.

Horrible experience!!

Don't go with "Movecorp" or however they're called now (they keep changing names we figured out later). It's a fraud!! They never showed up, not even sure if they have more people than in their call centers working for them. They were always very nice on the phon etc., but left us hanging *on the planned moving date*. I don't have to write more, I think, as everybody can imagine what a *nightmare* the whole experience was for us.

We moved from the UK to Gran Canaria in November of 2019. The collection and packing went well.
Several weeks after the goods had been collected I received a message from the company saying that the order was over what I had paid for and a further amount was required to complete the transaction. The amount requested was as much plus more than already paid. I argued that I had carefully measured the cubic footage and to reach the amount they were saying it was I was clearly being charged for moving someone else's property. I still had to pay an additional charge but less than 1/5 of what was being asked.
When my goods finally arrived in February the majority of the boxes had been damaged by water and reboxed before being shipped. Many of the contents were damaged and my husbands tools etc were missing pieces that had been carefully taped to them and metal parts were rusted, bent or broken.
In short I felt that no care had been taken once the items left my home.

Horrible

It started of wrong they said the where coming on 14th and came on the 15th.
I specifically asked how long it was going to take for our household to be moved to the UK from the NL.
They said 7 to 10 days approximately.
We went on the 16th and we waited 7 days no word from them. Started calling them they said next week it will come.
Long story short we had to wait 6 weeks.
So 6 weeks on a airbed with no furniture etc.
We complained and called they said they were going to call back never did. Kept on calling no joy.
No refund nothing. And really service was horrible.

i have no idea where my belongings are

My four suitcases and bicycle were picked up by a courier over a month ago. That is all I know. I have no idea where my things are or if i will ever see them again.

Straightforward

Only 4 CuM from UK to Southern mainland Greece. Good communication and after an initial delay all went well and shipment arrived on time and in good conditon.

Overall very happy and would use Movecorp again

Moved TV, some furniture, clothes, personal items incl. DVDs, CDs and kitchenware. Very quick response with quote after I searched. The quote received was the best value I received for a professional removals service. In addition price was not increased after I added more items to the list. When finalising dates of collection and delivery Movecorp were able to fit to the days I wanted and Stuart was always quick to confirm. On both days of collection at Manchester and delivery at Galway the truck arrived at the time arranged and I was phoned beforehand to confirm they were in the locality. Very efficient move and packing of material with pleasant manner by both men. The process was made as stress-free as possible and I was delighted with the service. My only note is that a TV screen box had been promised by the office and the moving staff had not been told, however they wrapped my TV carefully in blankets. In addition the movers only my initial list I used when searching for quotes and did not have my updated list of goods that I had sent to the office organiser. Overall very happy and would use Movecorp again.

Confusing and disorganised

Summary: I had to chase the company to assess what was going on with the move (day of picking up, status, and day of delivery). It was difficult to be organised.

I was expecting an email or a call after my goods have been picked up to have an indication on the delivery or "what is next". During waiting time I haven't received a status on the move. I had to call several time to find out the delivery day, this was given me a week before (after a month of silence)
The deliver has been 1 month and a half after the pick up day, this was not stated at the beginning

The people who pick up and delivered the goods were friendly, professional, and really quick.
A couple of boxes were completely dump with water, including a tv (luckily double wrapped, so damages were contained). One box had a hole.

The move took longer than forecasted (Christmas holidays contributed to that). I could have picked a cheaper company waiting the same amount of time.
I filled a formal complain to the company, I have been called back and I got an explanation for this.

I agree with other people who review the company here: I doubt I will use their service again if needed.

Packed ,shipped and delivered without incident.

My international move from Blue Mts In Australia to Beaconsfield in Uk was without any hassles or incidents. Movecorp contacted me straight away when my chipping consignment had docked. I was able to change my delivery address without any problems or extra costs.
My consignment arrived intact , with no breakages . One small observation was that we were not expecting it to be delivered so early in the morning. Would have been nice to have an email or text with a 2 hour window , so my daughter was not caught with a huge delivery when trying to get the kids ready for school . It was a bit chaotic . We were told about lunchtime or just before.
However all other communication was spot on.
Would use Movecorp again., thank you.

Worst. Experience. Ever

Cancelled twice on me after I had flown to the location to meet them - worse than useless. Just go look at Trustpilot and you'll find hundreds of others who have this kind of problem. I wish I had looked sooner.

I can't believe they are even being promoted by sites like this.

Movecorps were incredibly helpful

I shipped some personal belongings to my son who moved to Australia 5 years ago. Movecorps were incredibly helpful, readily available by phone and offering advice through photos that I sent. They also packed for me. The goods arrived within 2 months and are currently going through customs. Movecorps kept me fully informed at all stages. The price was very reasonable too.

Move ok, bad planning

The booking process was simple and efficient. Our goods were delivered in good condition. In addition, the delivery was to a storage facility and this went fine.

I am giving 3 stars because there were two issues with our move. The first is that we had to pay extra for pickup on a specific day because there was supposedly no scheduled truck on that day and they would have to send a dedicated van for us. But when the movers arrived it was actually a large truck and the driver told me they had many pickups on the same day.

The second problem was that delivery was one week late. Of course with a part load move you cannot choose the day but they promised to deliver in a specific week. At the end of that week they told us delivery would only be the week after because of some delays with a previous tour. For us the exact date wasn't too important but I imagine it could cause problems for someone else.

Will NEVER use them again.

Came to pick up my boxes out of the time slots. No information about the whereabout of the boxes for weeks. Changed the delivery date 4 times (with no warning - did not call to say they were not coming - I had to call them several time per day). At the end it took 5 weeks for them to deliver my boxes from UK to France...
One of the people I spoke to asked me to remove my bad review (on another website) for a cost reduction. Another personn of the company threated me to send my boxes back to the UK if I was not home to collect them (on the 3rd date they gave me) and they did not delivered the boxes on that day...
The all experience has been very stressful for me and my family. The way the team speaks to their customer is absolutly shocking.
Will NEVER use them again.

A good experience

Hello, my name is Diane, and I live in Ontario, Canada. I used Move Corp as my International shipper to transport a few pieces of sentimental furniture from my mother's home in Southport, England which sold and the buyers were requesting immediate closure. I had 3 weeks to find a mover, send descriptions, photos, get a quotation, pay for packing and purchase insurance. I received 3 responses but selected 'Move Corp' as Paige Reynolds was quick with a quotation and details. When I telephoned long distance regarding their packing materials Paige confidently reassured me their movers came well prepared for the job. Pickup was under one week, and the movers were on time. They identified one painting needed extra framing and agreed they would handle prior to the international crossing. (A small padded picture was not permitted inside the china cabinet,, okay). At this moment the shipment is in transit. Paige was very helpful and professional. A good experience with the offices to date.

It was awful, from the beginning until the end of the process.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Even if it is for a simple move, like the one I did. I asked for the full package in order for them to disassemble and pack the goods, and then, to unpack and assemble.
Everything was so dirty afterwards since they didn't pack properly as requested!
They broke the furniture and they showed up with a HUGE delay! It was schedule for a Friday morning and they showed up on Monday at 19h!!!
It was a total mess!

Also, they took the payment twice and they took almost 2 months to make a refund (and I called them many times and send emails every day)!!
Please avoid!

All went very well, just a couple of hitches that were internal errors rather than a problem with the shipment getting to the recipient. Also would have liked a head's up about being careful about insurance when self-packing which is only covered if you have submitted a detailed packing list - luckily I had read the terms and conditions of the insurance document and was able to query this. It is an important point and customer's should be alerted to it.

A very stressful move, due to the bad management from Movecorp.

We moved from UK to Denmark and chose this company (despite being one of the more expensive quotes), as they seemed professional in the beginning.

First, they turned up in a van way too small for the stuff we had booked. The estimate we had given was correct, but for some reason they thought they could pick up several loads from different people. They told us that they had to book another van to come, but it was unlikely that it would be the same day. As we had the ferry to Denmark booked later that day and was literally handing over the keys to our house same, this was not an option. In the end, they managed to stuff everything in the van and we were told that it was likely that would be charged extra.

Delivery was just as unorganised and they did not turn up on the day they said they would. This, we were informed on the day of delivery, where we had taken time off work to meet them at the drop off point.

This was an awful service from a very aggressive company. They hounded me for weeks to discuss the quote, while i was collecting others and after telling them i had gone with a competitor, they of course took several hundreds of pounds of their original quote, which rung alarm bells meaning they were going to over charge me in the first place! I eventually accepted their quote as it was now a reasonable cost and they seemed reliable. This was a mistake. I had e-mailed the representative several times to let them know the date i required my stuff to be picked up, which was in line with my check out date on my Dutch flat and start to my job in London. I had paid upfront at their request, and the move out day came and went with no van arriving and no word from the company. I called the office to be told 1. My representative was off sick and no one else had a clue about my job (WHAAAAT!!!???) and 2. Apparently they tell you a good day to pick up your belongings regardless of situa

First if all the price. Often lss then half of all the other movers I contacted.
I didn't need my item asap do could afford to wait. The gentlemen who came to collect were professional and very nice to deal with as were the gentleman who delivered.
Overal a great experience and I would not hesitate to use this company again.

An awful lot of my stuff was broken. I’ve moved several times in my life and this was the worst. Boxes squashed and torn, dent in the fridge freezer, scratches on furniture, objects mislaid. (obviously no care taken in manoeuvring objects). The guys with the muscles were very nice, well mannered and helpful, can’t fault that. They even tried to give me other people’s furniture and boxes! I was obliged to wait an extra 4 days for my load and told that it was completely acceptable as it was only a part load. Would have been nice to know that before hand. Disorganised and careless. Sadly I will not be recommending them.

They were cheap and finally did deliver the furniture but on the other hand not organised and my pick up date was cancelled and scheduled another day and my stuff got delivered early even though I told them 1000 times that after what date to be delivered as I didn’t have the keys for the apartment I was moving to and even though that they knew I will be in England and the delivery address was in Sweden so you can imagine how stressful that was to get an email at 1:30 am to say “there is a mix up and your stuff will be delivered in the morning” and to be in England at the time and ......... long story short, pay a bit more and go with another company.

I have use this company twice. In both occasions they were very efficient to pick up my goods from UK addres at an arranged date and time. Their partners in Bulgaria also were extremely helpful and corteous. They delivered my stuffs in perfect condition directly to my door. The customer services both ends- UK and Bulgaria were easy to call to and very helpful. I highly recommend Movecorp and their associates to all who needs removal abroad, specifically to Bulgaria. The move was of some furniture and personal effects from Sweden to the UK. The agreed collection date in Sweden was missed by 3 days due to the mover's van breaking down. When I asked if any compensation could be paid for the delay I was told that it was 'outside of their control' - I would have thought that the poor mechanical condition of their vehicle was something that would be completely within their control. Luckily we had already moved house and were just transporting some stuff that had been left behind, if we would have actually been moving house on that day this could have been a disaster.
When the stuff arrived in the UK (granted it was on the agreed day and on time) we discovered that the leg had been broken off of a coffee table, and a TV that cost about £800 had taken such a whack to the stand that it had wrenched the screws out and damaged the electronics such that the screen now malfunctions and the TV will need to be replaced. Worst company ever.

it took 5 months for my boxes to get door to door. MoveCorp quoted our transit time to be between 8-12 weeks. What they failed to mention was that my boxes were being sent to Toronto Canada and we live in Vancouver. so they sent the boxes to Toronto and contracted the Canadian part of the journey to an even more inept company called AMJ International, where my boxes sat in a warehouse for 6 weeks before they got loaded up and moved. AMJ International quoted me 1-3 weeks of a wait and it took 8. Long story short, we would have been better off selling our stuff and buying new when we got to Canada.

well I'm glad I was sent this review as I hope you look at it and are able to sort theses issues out , I'm still waiting for my packages , 3 weeks after arrival . I was advised my shipment would arrive within 10 days , it seems its problem after problem and now my packages are in Istanbul , as many times the emails are going backward and forward nothing seems to be moving , my packages now say "have not been claimed" . I would really appreciate any advise or movement as these packages hold personal and family belongings we wanted with us for our new beginnings here in turkey ..
I feel as I'm being more than patient but I paid for a service which you are clearly unable to complete .

The next question is how do I claim for my pocessions that you have lost as it doesn't look like these will be reaching there final destination !!!

Not happy at all .My possession were collected on the 22-9 -17 and as yet not even left England. Am told they wait to fill container. Have asked for copy of inventory as not given at time of collection and still waiting. When booked I was assured it would be about 8-10 weeks. And not left England yet. All promises promises to get orders 100% not happy

Moving from London, UK to Germany was a Not reliabel at all. On committed pick up dayI had to call in to learn that truck was full. They did not bother to check with me before. 5 hours later a pick up was arranged. Drivers were angry with me due to the traffic and bad Access to the Apartments, Information which I had given the Office in advance and therefore hoped for pick up mid-day so everything is easier.
Delivery was then delayed by a week, because "I had missed the truck to Germany", despite all my moving date were known well in advance. In delivery week, first they emailed my to say they will come in on Thursday, on very short notice they emailed Tuesday (on which my wife took a day off from work and stayed home, but they then only showed up Wednesday morning, again no call or info before I checked with them....
Finally they also lost my TV.... bottom line... it was a poor experience!

Movecorp were absolutely fantastic, they arrived well on time for fetching and delivering our personal effects and the guys were very helpful and friendly and all worked extremely hard and did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend them.

Very good co-ordination and communication from the Movecorp representative throughout the move. Despite a delay on delivery of around 2 weeks, I was told at each step what was happening and how long it would take to get there. Our stuff arrived mostly intact, and we were compensated for some light damage to a table during transport. A very professional service!

On the whole a positive experience. My only issue was the route my furniture would take as against what the route I was informed of.

Initial delivery was delayed by 10 days. My furniture was to be transported straight back to their central warehouse on collection and stored securely before being transported on a different lorry bound for Ireland. On speaking to the driver on delivery in Ireland my furniture spent 10 days travelling to Cork via London, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Sligo, Dublin and Cork. It had never left the truck that originally picked my furniture up!!

Thankfully the driver and his colleague did an excellent job and everything was as they loaded it so well done to them.

I would have preferred if I had been honestly informed that my furniture was going to go on this 10 day journey so as to accurately assess the potential risks and insure appropriately.

I raised my concerns with MoveCorp but there was no response other than acknowledgement of my email.

They took almost three months to bring the stuff in. Moreover they asked me for an extra GBP 34.52 as a special fee paid while waiting for a random customs inspection. They also added another GBP 1 because I paid with a credit card.
The same thing happened to friend of mine who did the same move last year, so I suspect there was a typical scam, while there was no proof for it.
All in all, if you plan to move to any Eastern Europe country, look elsewhere..

I had two lovely tables (one a 1850's writing table) that had belonged to my father in India and these both had a leg broken off and beep scratches in the wood. The man said “Where do you want the three legged table” and another table also had its leg broken off also something heavy had landed on it and the veneer was deeply scratched. Several other items were chipped or broken but I have over looked these. I have had to send the two tables to a furniture repair man and he is going to give me a quote (but has said it could be around £250 to the two tables (which I have sent photos to Movecorp Ltd). All I have been offered is £40 , as you can imagine I was shocked and angry by this offer. I have never been messed around or treated like this by any other removal group. I was then told I had not taken out any insurance on my items? Which I did not know you could do or was offered any, as all the other removal people I have used in the past add insurance into the price of the remo

Some good, some bad. Overall I wish I'd paid more for a more reputable company. Several hidden charges with their local partner, and poor packing meant that several things arrived broken or in bad condition. If you do use them, take out insurance to cover the inevitable damages caused by their skimping on decent packaging material.

I relocated from uk to capetown. I sent my shipment well ahead of time so my stuff would be delivered before we get to capetown.
We arrived on the 4th of January, it is the 18 th jan and our goods have not arrived.
I have been given the stupid excuse that the truck broke down and that the shipment will only arrive on Wednesday.
Enquiry feedback is also very poor.
All the BS.just makes recollection harder than it should be.
