The packers were not careful. They destroyed three large oil paintings. Two they packed with paper that in the heat stuck to the canvas. The third, they made five long gauges in the face. They also packed heavy items with fragile ones that broke.

The move was fine. But the movers placed tissue on our large paintings, which in the heat of summer stuck to them. We are looking into getting them repaired. Some of the packing was odd. A small shell would be wrapped up in a sheet of paper, while a delicate piece of pottery would be packed with a heavy glass ornament--which resulted in the breaking of the pottery. On the plus side, they did not loss any of our items.
