We moved to Germany with Actimovers.
Our experience: unprofessional, unreliable, incompetent, completely uncaring and borderline fraud. If you are moving, I strongly advise everyone not to do this with Actimovers.

The morning of unloading in our new home in Germany, the moving truck with movers was missing. After hours of searching (including GPS tracker of the moving truck through the office), my husband found the movers, who seemed to be sleeping off their hangover in the truck two blocks away. We arrived at the new home specifically at their request at 8:00 am (with newborn baby), we finally found them at 10:30 am.
The tone was set for the rest of the day.
- Our new home was damaged (deep holes in the wooden parquet floor in which parts had to be replaced),
- our furniture was damaged (Auping bed whose frame had to be replaced after the movers lost several parts during assembly and damaged it so badly that the Auping technicians could not repair it afterwards),
- several smaller objects 'disappeared' (my husband's work equipment, such as a drill with accessories worth several hundred euros)
- not a single piece of furniture that was disassembled and reassembled was properly reassembled.
- Afterwards we still had hours of work to reassemble the cabinets correctly and also noticed that several bolts and screws were missing

Given the far-reaching damage and missing goods, we immediately notified the Actimovers office. We had taken out insurance for damage to our goods via Actimovers. Despite several requests, Actimovers never showed us any document proving that they had taken out insurance for our goods, or that they had filed a claim with their insurance company. To date, we have not received an answer to our questions about this.

Afterwards it took months before Actimovers sent us an invoice. Even before we received an invoice, we received a reminder in which we were accused of not having paid anything yet (although we had already paid an advance of EUR 2,000) and they threatened to transfer the file to their lawyer.

Actimovers ultimately paid us +- EUR 500 in damages, still without us receiving an insurance file. When it turned out that we had suffered much more damage (after we heard from Auping that we had better buy a completely new bed), Actimovers refused to reimburse our damage. Or pass on our claim to the insurance com

catastrophic

Moved from Antwerp (BE) to Rossell (Spain). Paid + 4200 € to move all my personal belongings (36 m3 according to the company). On delivery day they delivered only half of my belongings, without any prior warning! I moved to a Spanish finca, in the middle of nature and all the products I bought in Belgium to keep all my belongings save in Spain, were left behind. Result: the delivered half of my stuff ended outdoors, in the open, without any shelter and a nice storm with heavy rain that same evening. According to the company they could send another truck with the rest of my belongings the same moment I called to complain: 1600 km in just a few hours?? Needed to buy an extra tent as shelter for my belongings, unfortunately the storm and heavy rain already passed. All my stuff, antique closets, books, lp's, pictures … totally soaked. They payed back the tent I had to buy, but not a word about the half delivery and all the damage! Other half of my belongings would arrive in 2 weeks, which suddenly became 3 weeks. That didn't work. But then, after unpacking, belongings were missing. Collectors items, design articles, professional working materials … and some kitchen tools. All packed and handed over to Actimovers, but never delivered. But nothing of this nightmare is their fault, it's just me not checking my boxes. One of these days I will find the missing boxes behind an olive tree, they say. ???? You hand over all your personal belongings, everything you take with you from a previous life, with memories, emotional value … and they just don't care. They don't value a clients belongings, they don't take responsibility! You have to pay the full amount before delivery and when shit hits the van, it's all the clients fault! If you value your belongings, please please please don't hire this company!! If it goes wrong, it's an absolute total nightmare!
